Until a few years ago, there used to be a tug of war between my mother and Me whenever I mentioned about my hair cut. She always says “long hair is beauty and every bride should have long hair during their wedding”. Well, sometimes I feel maybe she is right and sometimes I think we should go with our comfort styles. But honestly, I have always adored poolajada. It has the potential to give a make over to a person and transmit natural beauty to the bride. Nothing can beat the beauty of poolajada with fresh flowers. It’s quite common that we all look ahead to wear and adorn accessories that are unique and fashionable. Those of you who are bored with regular plait styles, we have heard you and therefore we are back with a bang of contemporary style poolajadas.
If I have to name this style, i would call it “Hanging garden”. The hanging pink flowers along the messy braid is vibrant and perfect for the lehenga.
This is simple loose plait of middle length. Double layer of wreath is arranged at the centre of the plait on the head. Violet and pink chrysanthemums are weaved with jasmines and leaves. The colour of the flowers is calm and pleasant besides being ravishing. A wreath is arranged at the upper top where the plait starts. Along the length of the jada, single bunch of flowers are arranged.
This is a messy braid at medium length. What is unique is the attractive florals in yellow and pink. Placement of baby pink flowers along the length gave a glamorous look to the hairstyle.
A single plait is beautiful but how about a double plait. This fusion style of hair style is a perfect blend of tradition and fashion. Two plaits are weaved together side by side to give good volume. A wreath of multiple coloured flowers is added as a Veni. The florals selected are in the shades of red and pink and are absolutely in sink with the costume.
Red is bold and is a the safest choice when in doubt. These red flowers and baby breaths are weaved together into a Veni. Three layers of Veni are placed at the top end of the plait and single bunches are arranged in zigzag manner.
What do you do when you want a regular plait and volume? Two sections of hair strands from sides are braids and the central hairs are braided into a regular plait. How different right! Needless to say the beautiful Veni and flower bunches along the plait length
Multicolour venis are attractive and are a visual treat. This is a different and unique hair style. Hairs are curled at shoulder length and are left free to take a natural shape of a plait when viewed from distance.
Volume of hairs is a biggest problem all of us face these days. Most of us are conscious when styling our hairs for parties and we tend to lean towards styles that look bouncy. This loosely tied French plait gives enough volume and is attractive. Baby breath Veni and flowers are like the tiny glazing diamonds.
Hairs are made into four partitions. All these four sections are curled and brought together at the end and tied into a knot. The arrangement of baby breath, red flowers and Lillies is lovely.
“Twisted” is what I would call it. Total hair is divided into four sections and twisted along the length. At the top end and bottom, pink flowers are adorned.
